OREANDA-NEWS. On December 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the high ability of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine to fight the Omicron strain.
“I spoke with the head of the Gamaleya Institute (Alexander Gunzburg), they conducted research, and Sputnik V will definitely neutralize the new Omicron strain. Gunzburg told me that only a clinic can give a final answer to the question to what extent, but the level of neutralization is very high, ”Putin said at an informal CIS summit.
On December 17, the Russian President announced that Sputnik V was more effective than other drugs in the fight against Omicron. As he noted, Russia is ready to provide Sputnik Light to other countries for booster vaccination.
