OREANDA-NEWS One of the largest Russian enterprises producing elevators, elevator and switchboard equipment for 9 months of this year produced 40% more products than in the same period last year, said the Minister of the Government of Moscow, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy (DIPP) Vladislav Ovchinsky.
"The machine-building industry in Moscow continues to develop actively, industrialists are expanding production workshops, increasing production volumes and introducing new products. The capital's elevators and their equipment are popular with customers both within the country and in friendly foreign markets. The products are delivered to construction sites, installed in homes and socially important buildings. Thus, the capital's elevator plant "MEL" for the 3rd quarter of this year increased production by 40% compared to the same period last year. Among other things, the support of the city contributes to the achievement of such indicators," the press service quotes the words of the head of the DIPP.
In April of this year, the plant received the status of an industrial complex, which gives large tax benefits that will allow significant savings and, thanks to this, allocate additional funding for its own development. The company has also entered the final stage of the construction of a new production shop as part of a large-scale investment project. For these purposes, Moscow has allocated the company an area of 0.7 hectares in Golyanov. Upon completion of construction, more than 80 Muscovites will be able to find work at the plant, the press service noted.
They stressed that Moscow is a city with developed production. There are over four thousand industrial sites in the capital, where more than 720 thousand people work. Every year, 40-50 medium and large enterprises are opened, as well as about a hundred small ones. They produce clothes, shoes, cosmetics, furniture, medicines, medical equipment, sophisticated machinery and much more.
Comfortable conditions for doing business have been created in Moscow, allowing companies in the SME segment to actively develop. Being located at the capital's production sites, investors get the opportunity to enter expanded sales markets, as well as access to modern infrastructure and a greater number of support programs from the authorities. So, now entrepreneurs can count on more than twenty types of subsidies and specialized loans. In addition, there is a whole list of anti-crisis measures, the press service added.
