OREANDA-NEWS  Japanese automaker Mitsubishi Motors joins the alliance of Nissan Motor and Honda Motor in the field of electric vehicle production and the introduction of intelligent technologies, the corresponding memorandum of intent was signed on Thursday, according to a press release on the Honda Motor website.

"Nissan and Honda are working to further expand initiatives to achieve carbon neutrality and an accident-free society. Various discussions are underway, taking into account possible options for cooperation in such areas as electrification technologies, software development ... The participation of Mitsubishi Motors will not only bring new knowledge and strengths, but also give an impetus to interaction and new business opportunities," the document says.

Last autumn, Nissan Motor announced that, amid the growing popularity of electric cars in the world, all new models for the European market will be fully electrified, and by 2030 the company plans to completely abandon sales of cars with internal combustion engines in Europe. The automaker also stated that it is developing plans in the field of software and electric vehicles outside of its alliance with Renault. In March of this year, Nissan Motor announced the signing of a memorandum of mutual cooperation in the field of electric vehicle production with Honda Motor.
