Source: OREANDA-NEWS
OREANDA-NEWS The production of half of the building materials in Russia depends on foreign equipment by 70%, while another half is 100% dependent on foreign equipment, reports RBC, citing a study of the National Association of Manufacturers of Building Materials and Construction Industry and the analytical center of the building materials industry SMPRO.
According to the study, the dependence on imported equipment 11 out of 26 positions was at about 100%. These are materials such as bricks, tiles, porcelain tiles, sanitary ware, screws and others. Producers of construction chemicals depend on imported equipment by 90%, dry mixes - by 80%, mineral insulation - by 70%.
Experts agree that Russia's modern construction industry, which has been formed in the last 20 years, works on Western equipment. Therefore, due to sanctions, Russia's construction industry will be particularly dependent on imported equipment as early as this year.
Analysts believe that the situation can be evaporated by supplies of similar equipment from Belarus, Iran, India and China. However, the supply of analogues from China will not solve the main problem of equipment shortage, as the Asian state lacks certain competences in one or another type of production.
