Media: Car Prices in RF Rose by 2-5% for the I Quarter

OREANDA-NEWS. The cost of cars in Russia in January - March 2020 increased by an average of 2-5%, the Russian news publication reported, citing Avilon dealership data.
According to the publication, prices for Hyundai brand models rose by an average of 2%, Volvo - by 2-3%, Audi - by 2.5%, Mercedes Benz - by 3.5%. Volkswagen Group raised prices by 30-100 thousand rubles in March, while the lineup of automakers Citroen, Nissan and Peugeot went up by 1.1 - 15.8%. Opel raised prices for two models, Renault - for seven, and BMW - for 20.
As noted in the publication, in January - March, automakers such as Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati did not update car prices, but in April Rolls-Royce raised prices by 7% for some models due to the growth of the pound sterling against the ruble.
Lada has also updated prices for its lineup. So, Largus, Vesta sedan and XRay cars went up by 7 thousand rubles, Vesta SW and SW Cross - by 9 thousand rubles, Granta - by 5-6 thousand rubles, Niva - by 6 thousand rubles. Automakers explain the increase in prices by fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate, an increase in the utilization rate and inflation.
