India Confirms the Effectiveness of "Sputnik V" Against the Delta Strain

Arora said that the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) has confirmed the effectiveness against the delta strain of all the coronavirus vaccines used in the country, including the Russian drug Sputnik V. Writes about this agency ANI.

The doctor stressed that, despite the fact that the number of cases of the disease has decreased in most of the country, in some regions there is a high level of infection of the population. Most of the cases are associated with the Delta variant.
In India, I use three vaccines to vaccinate the population: the local Covaxin, the Indian version of the Oxford CoviShield and the Russian Sputnik V.
Earlier, the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev said that the fund is negotiating with the Indian authorities on the export to other countries of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine produced in India.
On July 6, it was reported that a test batch of the Sputnik V vaccine was manufactured by Morepen Laboratories in India.
