According to preliminary data, the use of this vaccine is paused in the country for a two week period.
According to Søren Broström, Director of the Danish Health Authority, it is essential to hote that the Danish government are not refusing the AstraZeneca vaccine completely, but just pause in its use in the country. He marked that there are reliable official papers that show that this vaccine is quite effective and safe. However, authorities must take into consideration all reports of possible serious side effects.
Søren Broström noted that Denmark is conducting the largest and most significant vaccination campaign which has ever been done in the country's history. He stressed that they now need all the possible COVID-19 vaccines it can get. Therefore, the decision to stop the use of this drug has not been made easily.
