OREANDA-NEWS The Russian company Lada Export— an export partner of the AvtoVAZ concern, has agreed with Ethio Engineering Group to manufacture Lada cars in Ethiopia. This was stated in the message of Rosnedra following the results of the Russian-Ethiopian business forum and the intergovernmental commission, TASS reports.

"In the presence of the head of Rosnedra, Evgeny Petrov, Lada Export JSC and Ethio Engineering Group signed an agreement on the assembly and production of Russian cars in Ethiopia," the message says.

Earlier, Ethiopian Ambassador to Russia Than Scarecrow Urmat said that cars in the republic will be assembled for internal use. If they are in demand, they will be supplied to neighboring countries — South Sudan, Sudan, Kenya and Somalia.

The Russian manufacturer AvtoVAZ has also started negotiations on entering the Iranian market. In addition, the company expects to enter the African and Egyptian markets.
