OREANDA-NEWS  AvtoVAZ called the release dates of the new Lada Vesta. The concern will continue to develop the family of cars after the release of the crossover in 2025. This is reported by the Vedomosti newspaper with reference to sources in the company.

Current Vesta models are assembled on the Lada B/C platform, independently developed by the manufacturer in 2014. Now it can be used to create a minivan that will replace the Lada Largus, which is produced on the B0 platform of the Renault– Nissan–Mitsubishi alliance.

The concern has already produced a seven-seater Lada Nadezhda (2120) car in 1998-2006. The minivan was assembled at a pilot production facility on the basis of Niva, but the model never got into a full-fledged series. According to sources, AvtoVAZ is now "very actively" preparing for the restart of Largus — despite the fact that the model needs to import more than 70 components, they are going to resume production by autumn. According to Maxim Sokolov, president of the company, at the turn of 2024-2025, the concern will present two main novelties — Lada Iskra compact class cars, which will replace Lada Granta. They will be produced in three body versions – sedan, station wagon and cross-version. However, for the production of these cars, new body stamps will be required — as an independent automotive consultant Sergey Burgazliev said, if their development is ordered in China, these works will take 6-8 months. and all design work will take about 2.5 years.

Due to problems with components, AvtoVAZ has only recently resumed production of Lada Granta with anti-lock braking system (ABS). As a result of Western sanctions and restrictions on the supply of spare parts, cars were assembled for almost a year in a classic configuration without airbags and ABS.

Russian dealers have previously complained about the supply of understaffed Lada Vesta NG cars. About 60-70 percent of the cars that AvtoVAZ ships to dealers were not equipped with GLONASS buttons and a dashboard frame. Also, sellers faced problems with the new batch of Lada Niva Travel: some of the delivered cars need to change fuel hoses, and some cars have crooked bumpers. Because of this, a certain number of cars had to be withdrawn from sale.
