OREANDA-NEWS  Avtovaz is discussing the possibility of assembling cars of classes C and D with partners from friendly countries. This was stated on Monday by the head of Avtovaz Maxim Sokolov in an interview with Forbes.

"We are an open company. Right now, the possibility of assembling cars of classes C and D at one of the sites, including, perhaps, Izhevsk, together with partners from friendly countries, is being discussed," he said.

Sokolov noted that the company is not considering a joint-stock partnership, since Renault has the right to repurchase shares for six years. The head of Avtovaz did not name the company's future partners, since there are no final agreements yet.

There are a large number of crossovers in the Dongfeng model range, including the IX7, which belongs to the segment named by the head of AvtoVAZ. This Chinese brand produces the A9 sedan of the same segment as the Toyota Camry that left the Russian market, the expert gives an example. The length of this model is over 5 meters, it is equipped with 1.8-liter turbo engines with a capacity of 204 hp.
