OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2016. When health issues appear, finding the best treatment options can often be a confusing and intimidating process. Xerox today announced it will add ConsumerMedicalTM into its RightOpt® exchange, providing personalized support to make better healthcare decisions.

ConsumerMedical will offer RightOpt users one-on-one support by telephone or computer, broadening their ability to make informed healthcare decisions. Clinical experts and registered nurses can explain risks and benefits of different surgeries and alternative treatments, providing fact-based information and support for conversations with doctors. ConsumerMedical also offers referrals for second opinion consultations. The new services will be available to current RightOpt clients later this year and will be built into the solution for new clients by 2017.

“To truly impact health and well-being, healthcare exchanges must support users and their dependents throughout their healthcare journey,” said Scott Rabin, national practice leader, Health Exchange Solutions, Xerox HR Services. “Combining their specific needs with ConsumerMedical’s expertise and active support can help employers deliver relevant and personal guidance to employees for quality, cost-effective treatment.”

RightOpt is a private health exchange providing access to healthcare services and solutions to help achieve total well-being. By engaging with employees beyond open enrollment, with 365 day support, RightOpt helps employers reduce their healthcare costs while also improving employee and dependent health outcomes through its methodical approach to well-being and engagement.

Xerox Human Resource Services helps employers improve their HR programs through advisory, technology, and administrative services while enabling employees to better manage their health and wealth programs as well as their career development.

Xerox HR Consulting is delivered through Buck Consultants at Xerox. All insurance policies are underwritten and issued by various third party insurance companies, for which Buck Consultants, LLC (registered in certain states as Buck Insurance Services, LLC), a licensed insurance agency, could act as an appointed producer, subject to applicable terms.

One-on-one support does not purport to constitute the type of medical advice one would receive from a doctor's medical examination.
