OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia for the first two months of 2016 fell by 48.7% to 28.7 thousand cars. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period it was imported cars worth 515.8 million dollars in Russia. At the same time from foreign countries it was imported 27.8 thousand cars worth 497.4 million dollars, from CIS countries - about 900 cars worth 18.3 million dollars.

Imports of trucks in January - February fell by 57.1% up to 1.5 thousand cars with a total cost of 81.6 million dollars. Among them, 1.2 thousand trucks worth $ 31.5 million were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 400 vehicles worth 50.1 million dollars - from CIS countries.

Exports of passenger cars in Russia fell by 10.4% for the first two months of 2016 and it was 10.3 thousand units with a total sum of 116.6 million dollars. Therewith, to foreign countries it was sent 2.4 thousand cars worth 67.4 million dollars, to CIS countries - 7.9 thousand cars worth 49.2 million dollars.

Exports of trucks fell by 25% - up to 1.2 thousand cars worth 34.3 million dollars. In the foreign countries it was delivered 800 trucks worth 26.7 million dollars, to the CIS countries - 500 trucks worth $ 7.6 million.
