OREANDA-NEWS. By the results of March of 2016, the best-selling model in Russia in the segment of SUVs and crossovers (SUV) became again Renault Duster, which has sold 4237 units - more by 34.6% than the year before.

The second place in this ranking was occupied by LADA 4x4 SUV that was sold in the amount of 3,184 units, by showing a fall by 18.2%. Third in the SUV segment in March was another SUV from Togliatti - Chevrolet Niva with the result of 2865 cars, which is more by 23.8% than a year ago. The five leaders of SUVs and crossovers also included Toyota RAV4 (2840 units; + 18.2%) and UAZ "Patriot" (2277 units; + 58%).

Thus, if we consider the statistics for the first quarter of 2016, the Renault Duster remains the leader in the Russian segment of the SUV. During this time, its sales were 10813 units (+ 22.3%), while the nearest pursuer - Toyota RAV4 - this figure was 8713 units (+ 49.7%).
