Essar Steel Pune facility’s production up by 117% and sales by 112% for March’ 16

OREANDA-NEWS. Essar Steel Pune Facility achieved its highest ever production and sales in March 2016. At 59.6 KT, production was up by 117%, and sales at 60.08 KT, went up by 112%, as compared to 27.44 KT (production) and 28.34 KT (sales) in the same month last year.
There has also been significant achievement in areas of Pickling, Rolling, Galvanizing & Colour Coating.

The production of 31.3kt of PPGI is the highest for any steel manufacturer in India in a single location. Thus establishing Essar Steel  as No.1 brand in Indian PPGI domain.

Essar Steel Pune Facility is not only producing more but is also selling more, thus adding to the resurgence of the company.

Essar Steel India is one of India’s leading integrated steel producers with an annual production capability of 10 million tonnes, which is supported by a 20 million tonne pellet-making capability. The state-of-the-art facilities comprise iron ore beneficiation, pellet making, iron making, steel making, and downstream facilities, including a cold rolling mill, a galvanizing  and pre-coated facility, an extra-wide plate mill, three pipe mills with coating facilities, and steel-processing facilities.

Essar Steel Pune Facility, operates the largest pre-coated facility in the country, with an annual capacity of 4 lakh tonnes, and supplies it to over 110 countries across the globe.
Essar Hypermart, a pioneering initiative of Essar Steel, caters to the requirements of the SME segment, which normally does not have access to mill material directly.
