OREANDA-NEWS. In January–March 2016 the volume of foreign currencies traded on Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE), including currency swap transactions, made up KZT11,746.3 bn (equivalent to USD32,623.3 mln) and decreased by 50.9 % (by 74.8 % in dollar terms) against the respective period of 2015.

In comparison with the previous three-month period (October–December 2015) the trades volume decreased by 29.9 % (41.8 % in dollar terms).

The weighted average rate of the tenge to the US dollar, calculated on all deals of the main (morning) trading session on KASE in the period from January 5, 2016 to March 31, 2016, made up KZT355.87 per US dollar, on all exchange deals – KZT355.64 per US dollar.
