OREANDA-NEWS. According to the analytical agency "AUTOSTAT", for two months of this year the market of new cars in Russia was 168.7 thousand units, by showing a decline of 3.5% to the same period of the last year (174.8 thousand units).

Leading positions are occupied traditionally by Moscow and Moscow region, the share of which in total was more than a quarter of the Russian market. Capital market during this period showed an increase by 7.3% (up to 31.5 thousand units), and the Moscow region - by 4% (to 13.2 thousand units). The third line of the rating belongs to St. Petersburg - sales in St. Petersburg grew by 19.2% and they were 11.2 thousand passenger cars. Among the non-capital subjects of the Russian Federation the leader is Tatarstan (7.4 thousand units; + 5.8%), which finished the fourth place in the overall rating. The five leaders included also Krasnodar region (6.4 thousand units; -2.6%).
