OREANDA-NEWS. By the results of I quarter of 2016 the conveyor of GM-AVTOVAZ produced 8175 cars – less by 7.6% than a year before. As the press-service of the joint venture informed, in the reporting period, GM-AVTOVAZ dealers sold 7476 Chevrolet Niva cars (-16,4%), including export deliveries to CIS countries that were 383 cars (-41.3%).

Since the beginning of work of GM-AVTOVAZ it was sold 614054 cars, including the export of 45083 cars. To date, sales of Chevrolet Niva cars are implemented by 149 dealers in Russia, 6 dealers and 3 distributors in CIS countries.

Recall that from February 24th GM-AVTOVAZ went to work in one shift, 5 days a week instead of two shifts, but the speed of the assembly line increased by almost half. Thus, the planned volume of production in the current year will be kept and the made changes do not affect the number of the joint venture personnel. Thanks to this optimization and a high degree of localization of the Chevrolet Niva, which is exceeding 95%, as well as the professionalism of the company's dealers, GM-AvtoVAZ in 2016 will be able to keep its position in the automotive market, noted in the company.
