In an interview with the newspaper "Vedomosti" the General Director of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogogin, said about it, by explaining that before it was planned the sales at the level of 2400 units, but the dynamics of orders can count on higher volume. Now vehicles are equipped with cabins Daimler, which are manufactured by KAMAZ under license of its partner and a shareholder (at Daimler 15%). In future it will be used cabs Daimler, which will be produced by a new plant of the joint venture "Daimler KAMAZ Rus" in Tatarstan (the partners - 50%). Construction started in March of 2016, mass production will begin in 2019, said Sergei Kogogin. Power of enterprise will be 57 thousand skeletons of cabs of seven types per year (now - one type by license). They will be used as by a joint venture, so by KAMAZ. The final assembly of cabs will be implemented by each their own, explains Sergey Kogogin "Filling will be different. The investments in the project were not disclosed, but he said that they would work together with Daimler - 50/50. KAMAZ invests also funds that are raised by bond loans under the state guarantees, he said.
