OREANDA-NEWS.  Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of new cars in January – February of 2016 and it created a rating of the most popular models in Moscow.

According to the study, the best-selling car in Moscow is still Hyundai Solaris, the market volume of which reached the 2726 units, more by 64.7% than in the same period of 2015. It corresponds to about 9% of the total capital market. In the second place there is another popular Korean model - KIA Rio, which was sold in amount of 1566, by showing an increase of 65%. The third car in this rating was - Skoda Octavia with 921 units (+ 6.6%). The top-five of leaders is closed by the Toyota RAV4 (853 units) and Skoda Rapid (800 units), whose market volumes increased by 126.9% and 63.6%, respectively. The top-10 of the Moscow market in January - February also included: Renault Duster (736 units; + 88,7%), Nissan X-Trail (727 units; + 97,6%), Volkswagen Polo (664 units; + 4,6%), Toyota Camry (652 units; + 23.5%) and KIA Ceed (632 units; + 34.5%).

Totally the market volume of new passenger cars was 31.5 thousand units in Moscow, by showing an increase of 7.3% for two months of 2016.
