OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2016. The Sea Commercial Port of Ilyichivsk saw opening of the first turn of construction of a grain transhipment facility constructed by Stevedoring Company JV Risoil Terminal.

"The building of a modern grain transhipment facility is a big step in the development of the region's infrastructure, it’s new jobs and a good example of attracting investors", said Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Oleksii Pavlenko during the opening ceremony.

He stressed that Risoil Terminal in the Sea Commercial Port of Ilyichivsk is the largest export and import bulk terminal in the Black Sea. The terminal is a high-profile complex of facilities for export of domestic crude sunflower oil and provides storage services for large international companies such as Cargill, Kernel, ADM and others.

The terminal contains a warehouse with simultaneous grain storage capacity of 30 thousand tons, equipped with car offloading, which provides opportunity to offload about 120 vehicles daily. The storage capacity is 700 thousand tons of grain per annum.

A silage facility consists of 13 silos with simultaneous grain storage capacity of 85 thousand tons. It is planned the construction of another 9 silos with the total capacity of 125 thousand tons, with the station of offloading railroad cars - up to 220 cars per day.
