OREANDA-NEWS. April 1, 2016. Employees of Ford Brazil plant in the city of Taubat?, Sao Paulo state, celebrated the milestone of 1.5 million units produced of Sigma engine.

The assembly team posed for the traditional photo at the end of the line at one of the most modern engine factories of the country. Produced in Brazil since 2009, the Sigma engine integrates Ford's best sellers in the Brazilian market: the compacts Ka and Fiesta, the SUV EcoSport, plus Focus line-up. Sigma engines are also exported to Ford Argentina, Venezuela and Mexico. 

The Sigma line is formed by versions 1.5 and 1.6-liter. Exclusively for the Brazilian market, Sigma engine is produced with flexfuel technology that can be fueled either with ethanol or gasoline.
