OREANDA-NEWS. Singapore Exchange (SGX) today welcomed Hong Kong-based broker, Quam Securities Company Limited, to its securities market as a trading member.  

Chew Sutat, Head of Equities and Fixed Income, SGX said, “We are pleased to welcome Quam Securities as our first Hong Kong-based securities trading member. With this membership, Quam securities will be able to offer our cash securities to its clients, expanding their investment options and adding diversity to the Singapore securities market’s investor base. We look forward to Quam Securities’ participation and support in our market.”

The admission of Quam Securities brings the total number of Trading Members in SGX’s securities market to 28. The securities market also has 25 Clearing Members. In addition, there are 11 Clearing Members for OTC-traded financial derivatives on SGX AsiaClear. In the derivatives market, there are 50 Trading Members and 24 Clearing Members.
