ANRCETI extended the frequency spectrum to be used license-free by owners of short-range devices
By this regulatory document, ANRCETI amended ANRCETI Administrative Board Decision No. 126 of 02.06.2009 on establishing the categories of radio frequencies, the use of which is allowed license-free and not subject to authorization. The amendments were aimed at updating the Decision and bringing it in line with the latest amendments to the Technical Regulation "Technical Parameters for Short-Range Devices", made by the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications Order no.82 of 19/10/2015 and with the recent Recommendations of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT).
The new Decision establishes the frequency bands for 14 types of SRD, intended for radio applications, which can be used license-free and are not subject to authorizations/permits. The users of these frequencies are required to comply with the technical specifications set in the Technical Regulation "Technical Parameters for Short-Range Devices".
Short-range devices are low-power transmitters typically functioning in limited, unlicensed frequency bands. These devices are used for wireless applications, such as alarms, local communications equipment, remote door openers, medical implants, intelligent transportation systems, etc. Typically, such devices provide unidirectional or bidirectional communication and have a reduced capacity for producing interference.
