OREANDA-NEWS. IRU demonstrated the efficiency and security of using TIR for intermodal transport to logistics operators from the railway and shipping sectors, as well as manufacturers conducting cross-border trade, at the Intermodal Asia 2016 trade fair held in Shanghai, China. Speaking in the ‘Innovation Theatre’ event on ‘using existing global instruments to streamline customs procedures’ IRU highlighted how TIR works in the intermodal freight transport chain and the benefits the system brings to logistics companies.

IRU held a number of constructive bilateral meetings during the course of the fair and also hosted a well-visited booth which received more than 200 visitors.
