OREANDA-NEWS. AT&T will update in May its U-verse® home Internet plans with more choices and more data for all Internet customers, including an unlimited data option available to any AT&T U-verse home Internet customer.

“Today’s Internet speeds are faster than ever and we’re all using it to do more – streaming video, gaming, accessing the cloud or uploading videos and photos,” said Bob Bickerstaff, vice president of data and voice products for AT&T Entertainment Group. “That’s why we’re going to provide U-verse home Internet customers with more choices and more data.”

On May 23, we will introduce a new unlimited data option for our U-verse home Internet customers. AT&T customers who have only our U-verse home Internet service can add unlimited data for $30 more a month. Customers with U-verse home Internet and either DIRECTV® or U-verse TV service, and who pay for those services on a single bill, will automatically receive unlimited data at no additional charge – a discount worth $30 a month. U-verse customers can add unlimited data at any time, and can combine their home Internet and TV services on a single bill at no charge by visiting att.com/CombineMyBills.

Also effective May 23, most of our U-verse home Internet customers will receive an automatic increase in their monthly data allowance without having to do a thing, and at no additional cost. Monthly data allowances will range from 300 gigabytes to 1 terabyte, depending on your Internet speed tier. Our home Internet customers use just over 100 gigabytes of data per month on average.

We offer a variety of free online tools at att.com/InternetUsage to help you manage your data usage and a data calculator so you can quickly estimate the amount of data you might use in the future. Also starting May 23, you’ll be able to check your current usage online anytime you want.

Each month, we’ll notify customers as their data usage approaches or begins to exceed their data allowance. There will be no charge for additional data during the first three months.  Thereafter, we’ll provide customers with additional data as needed in 50 GB increments for $10 each.
