Danone Spain Optimizes Supply Chain and Sales Performance with Qlik
OREANDA-NEWS. Qlik® (NASDAQ: QLIK), a leader in visual analytics, today announced that Danone Spain, a multi-national food products company best known for its lines of waters and yogurt, is using Qlik® Sense and QlikView® to improve return on investments (ROI) and the quality of its automated sales order processing. By utilizing both Qlik Sense and QlikView dashboards, Danone Spain is able to relay key information to its salesforce, improving decision making in real-time and from anywhere via mobile devices.
Danone was looking to improve its manual order processes and implement a system that predicted and generated order requests for stores automatically. After implementing Qlik Sense and QlikView, with Qlik partner, SDG Group, the organization is able to generate store orders automatically based on different parameters such as stock, sell out, sales history, and more. Store managers still have the opportunity to review and approve the orders for accuracy, but have significantly reduced the time spent on ordering products. QlikView also helps monitor and review the quality of automated orders in real time, so users can more effectively measure ROI.
"Qlik has helped us reduce the return of goods by five percent on sales volume and raise the OSA by three percent, thus improving management and costs," said Christian Gomez, BI Sales, Customer Service and Supply at Danone. "In addition, we've seen a three percent improvement in product availability as a result of enhanced yield, utility and usability of BL."
In addition, two QlikView dashboards have been developed for two types of users - Danone's management and its salesforce - in order to increase visibility across the organization. The executive dashboards have been created to allow management to measure improvement within Danone's ROI of its automated system orders. As a result, managers of each area are now able to direct their teams more effectively and act more efficiently because they are now able to analyze data in real time.
"As Danone's business model evolves, so too must its organization," said Mike Saliter, Vice President, Industry Solutions, Qlik. "Qlik Sense and QlikView provide the enabling technology that has helped transform the way Danone manages sales performance and supply chain challenges to improve the way the organization does business, drive down costs, and ultimately serve the needs of their customers better."
Qlik Sense was also brought in to address Danone's needs for mobility to provide better access to company information from anywhere at any time. The design once, deploy anywhere capabilities of Qlik Sense allows its management and its salesforce to access information on the road from iPads or mobile phones in real-time. This anytime, anywhere access to their customer relationship management systems and point of sale technology is transforming the way Danone's employees are able close deals.
"Qlik has allowed us to not only solve the problem we had in mobility, but has also helped us to change our thinking about how to organize information in a simple and straightforward way," continued Gomez.
