LADA 4x4 is still the leader of the secondary market in the SUV segment
OREANDA-NEWS. Analytic agency "AUTOSTAT" conducted a study of the Russian market of used passenger cars, which covered the segment of crossovers and SUVs (SUV). According to the survey, the most popular car in this segment continues to be the domestic SUV LADA 4x4, the market volume of which by the result of two months of 2016 was 15.9 thousand units, which is less by 3% than a year ago.
In the second place there is another SUV, manufactured in Togliatti - Chevrolet Niva. The volume of the secondary market of this model in January-February of this year reached 9.6 thousand units, it increased by 11% for the year. Crossover Toyota RAV4 finishes the third, the indicator of which reached 5.3 thousand units (+ 31%). The top-five of leaders of SUV segment includes also two more models of Toyota - Land Cruiser and Land Cruiser Prado. The market size of each SUV exceeded 4.5 thousand cars, by showing increase of 19% and 18%, respectively. Apart from these, the top-10 includes also Nissan X-Trail, Honda CR-V, Nissan Qashqai, KIA Sportage and Mitsubishi Outlander. We should note that all of them demonstrate positive dynamics of the market.
As the analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" noted, the leadership of LADA 4x4 in the secondary market in the SUV segment is connected mainly with the fact that this model is the most affordable.
