OREANDA-NEWS. On March 16, Doosan Corporation granted 100 million won (about US$84,000) in scholarships to “Youth Start!” at an awards event held at Ramada Seoul Dongdaemun in downtown Seoul.

The “Youth Start!” scholarship program was established in 2013 with the goal of helping support future generations of leaders, in partnership with the Seoul Scholarship Foundation (Chairperson Mi-ran Mun). The program is funded and operated by endowments created by donations from employees of Doosan Corporation and a matching grant by the company.

This year, 12 finalists were selected among the university students recommended by the Seoul Scholarship Foundation, following a preliminary screening and interviews conducted by employees of Doosan Corporation. Moreover, additional funds will be delivered to the scholarship recipients from last year in a bid to support the continued growth of those students.
