Fitch Plans to Withdraw Ratings of Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company
OREANDA-NEWS. Fitch Ratings plans to withdraw the ratings on Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company and its affiliates on or about April 19, 2016 for Commercial Reasons.
Fitch currently rates Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company and its affiliates as follows:
Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company
--Insurer Financial Strength 'A-'; Outlook Stable.
Insurance Company of Greater New York
--Insurer Financial Strength 'A-'; Outlook Stable.
Strathmore Insurance Company
--Insurer Financial Strength 'A-'; Outlook Stable.
GNY Custom Insurance Company
--Insurer Financial Strength 'A-'; Outlook Stable.
Fitch reserves the right in its sole discretion to withdraw or maintain any rating at any time for any reason it deems sufficient. Fitch believes that investors benefit from increased rating coverage by Fitch and is providing approximately 30 days' notice to the market of the rating withdrawal of Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company and its affiliates. Ratings are subject to analytical review and may change up to the time Fitch withdraws the ratings.
Fitch's last rating action for the above referenced entities was on Oct. 21, 2015. The ratings were affirmed.
