C.H.I. Overhead Doors Announces Partnership with Homes for our Troops
OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2016. C.H.I. Overhead Doors today announced a partnership with Massachusetts-based non-profit Homes for our Troops (HFOT) to provide quality garage doors to disabled veterans nationwide. HFOT was founded in 2004 with a vision to build mortgage-free, specially adapted homes for severely injured veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan to enable them to rebuild their lives. Over the next three years, C.H.I. will be donating premium garage door packages to these veterans, allowing them to build homes that can be comfortably entered and exited as they recover from injury.
Tim McHale, President/CEO of Homes for Our Troops sees this as an opportunity to reinforce America’s commitment to take care of its veterans and greatly looks forward to the partnership. “Because of sponsors like C.H.I. Overhead Doors, our veterans do not have to worry about a mortgage, and become empowered to focus on recovering and rebuilding their lives.”
“C.H.I.’s business philosophy is all about serving our customers and serving the community,” said Tim Miller, CEO of C.H.I. “Therefore, we are eager to see our employees and dealer-partners work with such an impactful organization on home building projects, and hope the broader Arthur community will be proud to see C.H.I. doors used by our veterans who have given so much to serve our country.”
C.H.I.’s equity partner, KKR, is a strong advocate of the partnership and the company’s commitment to supporting veterans in need.
“We encourage each of our Industrial portfolio companies in the U.S. to partner with a charity that will benefit from the company’s products or services and help improve the quality of life of others,” said Pete Stavros, Member of KKR and Head of the Firm’s Industrial’s investment team. “We share C.H.I.’s belief that supporting our veterans is a critical part of strengthening the communities we serve. We look forward to seeing this partnership assist veterans who are transitioning back to civilian life.”
