OREANDA-NEWS. On March 17, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev held a meeting with the relatives of oilmen, who died and went missing during the accidents at Guneshli and Oil Rocks fields due to severe storm on December 4, 2015. At the beginning, participants of the meeting paid the tribute to the victims of the tragic events. SOCAR President spoke about the work carried out by the State Commission and said rescuers continuously carried out search for the missing oilmen and took necessary measures for intensive searches in the territory of Turkmenistan. Mr. Abdullayev said SOCAR would always support the victims’ families and care about the medical treatment and rehabilitation of the injured oilmen.

The relatives of the victims spoke about the problems they faced. SOCAR President assured them that the company takes every measure to solve these problems. The participants of the meeting were informed that memorial monument would be designed to perpetuate the memory of the victims of Guneshli and Oil Rocks accidents.
