OREANDA-NEWS. Imports of passenger cars in Russia in January of 2016 fell by 58.8% to 11 thousand cars. According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia, during the reporting period it was imported cars worth 185.6 million dollars to Russia. At the same time from foreign countries it was imported 10.7 thousand cars worth 179.5 million dollars, from CIS countries - about 300 cars worth $ 6.1 million.

Imports of trucks in January fell by 68.7% to about 500 cars with a total cost of 30.7 million dollars. Among them, 300 trucks worth $ 6.6 million were delivered from foreign countries, the rest 200 vehicles worth 24.1 million dollars - from CIS countries.

Export of passenger cars in Russia fell by 28.6% for the first month of 2016 and it was 1.5 thousand units worth 33.7 million dollars. Therewith, it was sent 500 vehicles worth 21.4 million dollars to foreign countries, to the CIS countries - 1.1 thousand cars worth $ 12.3 million.

Exports of trucks fell by 60% - up to 200 cars worth USD 8.7 million. To the foreign countries it was delivered 100 trucks worth US $ 4.4 million, to the CIS countries - 100 vehicles worth $ 4.3 million.
