OREANDA-NEWS. March 18, 2016. Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (hereinafter, the BCBS) published assessment findings of Bank of Russia regulatory framework related to credit institutions on consistency with the BCBS documents (RCAP — Regulatory Consistency Assessment Program) on the BCBS website. The said assessment by the BCBS was provided as of 1 January 2016.

On RCAP results, the BCBS has found conformity of the Bank of Russia regulations with Basel II, Basel 2.5 and Basel III standards in all aspects. Thus, the Bank of Russia regulations to implement requirements for calculation and maintaining of bank capital adequacy ratios and liquidity coverage ratio as well as for supervisory review process within Basel II pillar 2 and disclosure by credit institutions of their operations are in full compliance with the BCBS documents.
