Durham Performing Arts Center Partners With Daktronics For Marquee Displays
OREANDA-NEWS. Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) of Durham, North Carolina, has called upon Daktronics (NASDAQ-DAKT) of Brookings, South Dakota, to provide their facility with several LED video marquee displays. The displays, designed and manufactured by Daktronics, were installed late in 2015.
"This project could not have turned out more perfectly," said Bob Klaus, General Manager at DPAC for the operating partnership of PFM / Nederlander. "The patience and expertise of the Daktronics team ensured that we selected the right systems and that everything from the initial project planning to the install to our day-to-day operation were seamless. The value of this addition to our theater property is no less than terrific."
Three new marquee displays were installed around the exterior of the performing arts center. One display measures approximately 6 feet high by 26.5 feet wide and is positioned away from the building to attract attention of passersby. Two other displays measure approximately 6 feet high by 8.5 feet wide and are mounted to the building above the entrance to appeal to patrons as they enter the building.
All three displays feature 10 millimeter line spacing for excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility for mass appeal of viewers. These displays are currently being used for event promotion, sponsored messages, emergency information and other announcements.
"We're proud to provide these new displays for DPAC to help promote upcoming events and send messages to their audience," said Corey Williams, Daktronics sales representative. "The displays look great and we look forward to many years of them providing an impact for such a great venue."
Daktronics LED video and messaging display technology feature industry-leading environmental protection for a long lifetime with consistent, industry-leading performance and low power consumption, providing value and excitement for years to come.
