OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC TATNEFT participated in the XVIIth International specialized exhibition "Energy. Resource Saving", and in the XIVth International Symposium "Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation" held in Kazan in the pavilions of JSC "Kazan Fair".

The official opening ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexei Pesoshin, Acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, Anton Inyutsyn, Deputy Energy Minister of the Russian Federation, heads of the ministries and departments of the Russian Federation, heads of the sectoral ministries and departments of the Republic and others.

Within the framework of the international exhibition there was Republican review-contest "Resource efficiency. Energy saving" also held, where TATNEFT Company became a winner in the category "Fuel industry" for active participation in the implementation of the governmental program "Energy saving and energy efficiency enhancement in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014 - 2020" and achievement of the best energy saving and energy efficiency figures. The performance assessment indicators had been the indicators of the production energy consumption change and the ratio of the energy savings versus the volume of the products output.

PJSC TATNEFT had presented at the exhibition stands results of the Company’s activities in the area of energy saving and resource efficiency. Implementation of measures of the resource saving program in the period from 2011 to 2015 resulted in saving more than 311,000 tons of standard fuel, which had allowed for a 4.8 per cent reduction of Company’s need for in the fuel and energy resources.

According to the program approved in the Company there were 928 measures implemented aimed at resource conservation, of which 411 were aimed at the electric energy saving.

Also there were awarded the representatives of the republican mass media based on the review-contest results for promotion of the energy efficiency program and achievements of high performance energy efficiency. The TV studio of PJSC TATNEFT was awarded a winner diploma based on the results of the media contest.

The exhibition had been organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, Center of energy saving technologies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan city administration and JSC "Kazan Fair".

As part of the exhibition events there was a meeting held of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan on the progress in the implementation of the dedicated program "Energy and Resource Efficiency in the Republic of Tatarstan". Albert Karimov, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, pointed out in his presentation that the Republic was still facing much more work to improve the energy efficiency and competitiveness of the Tatarstan’s economy. The objective is to ensure reduction of the Republic’s energy intensity of the economy by another 16.8 percent in 2020.
