Europe’s tourism sector calls for smarter Schengen visa package
OREANDA-NEWS. March 17, 2016. IRU, as part of the Network for the European Private Sector in Tourism (NET), is calling on European parliamentarians to vote for a smarter Schengen visa package.
The European Parliament’s Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs Committee will vote on proposals for a new visa regime in Schengen countries.
NET calls on MEPs to vote in favour of the mandatory issuance of multiple-entry visas so as to encourage tourists to make return visits to Schengen countries and to facilitate the movement of legitimate workers in the EU.
