OREANDA-NEWS. CH2M announced the appointment of Matthew Sutton as president of the firm’s Environment & Nuclear Business Group, reporting to Global Business Groups President Greg McIntyre.

Sutton, who previously served as CEO of AECOM’s environmental business, will lead client-centric strategy, operations and growth in CH2M’s market-leading environmental and nuclear business, which has ranked number-one on Engineering News Record‘s Top 200 Environmental Firms list since 2006.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Matthew Sutton to the CH2M team,” said McIntyre. “In addition to his extensive experience and industry knowledge, he shares our values and acute focus on client-centric innovation and execution excellence solving the most extreme environmental challenges.

With a 32-year career in the global environmental market, Sutton brings deep experience including leadership roles in environmental consulting; operations; business development; and technical services including remediation, decontamination and decommissioning. He has served both private-and public-sector clients in North and South America, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to AECOM, Sutton worked with Arcadis, Dames & Moore, Harding & Lawson and Groundwater Technology.

Sutton succeeds Dr. John Mogge, who was serving as interim president of CH2M’s Environment & Nuclear business, and will continue as director of the group’s global strategy and business development.
