OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2016. Frontier has announced that Elite Dangerous will support Facebook's Oculus Rift Virtual Reality (VR) headset from its consumer launch on 28 March.

In addition to delivering an update to all existing Elite Dangerous and Horizons players, Frontier will distribute the Elite Dangerous Deluxe Edition, including Elite Dangerous and the Horizons season of expansions, via the Oculus Store.

Elite Dangerous is one of the first top quality games to showcase the possibilities of VR, which differentiates the title and will provide sales opportunities as uptake of VR devices grows.
