OREANDA-NEWS. Deutsche Börse Venture Network, Deutsche Börse’s programme to fund young growth companies, has passed the 200-member mark nine months after its launch. The Network has gained 31 investors and 10 growth companies since the beginning of this year. Specifically the number of participants from outside Germany, currently at 81, has seen a particularly large increase. In total, there currently are 60 growth companies and 142 investors active in the Deutsche Börse Venture Network.

In addition to the online platform, the Venture Network supports businesses and investors in expanding their networks. On March 16, an exclusive investor networking event focusing on FinTech and e-commerce will take place for the first time in London. On April 19, the Venture Network will organize for the third time the cross-sectoral Investor Talks in Frankfurt. Since the start of the programme in June 2015 there have been more than 280 one-on-one meetings between companies and investors.

The companies on the platform represent the following sectors: e-commerce (16), fintech (15), biotech (4), digital media (4), computer software (6), IT/SaaS (5), healthtech (1), gaming (2), cleantech (3), industrytech (1) and consumer (3). The companies on the platform register an annual average growth in excess of 120 percent and together represent some 9,600 employees.

Its objective is to bring new and high-growth companies and international investors together, to provide the opportunity for effective growth funding and development of an extensive network.
