OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2016. Ford Lio Ho (FLH) recently invited business partners, employees, their family members, retirees, dealers, suppliers, banks and communities – more than 1200 people – to celebrate the Chinese lunar new year and to congratulate model employees for their achievements.

Dave Schoch, president, Ford Asia Pacific, also visited Taiwan and attended the party to say thank you to the FLH Family.

“First I want to thank each of you for your vision, leadership and commitment to growing the Ford Lio Ho business,” said Schoch. “As we look back at 2015, it’s clear that we’ve had great year in Taiwan. We launched a series of new and refreshed products and we hit several major cost-savings milestones. We’ve also had a winning year when it comes to giving back to the community. In 2015, the Ford Lio Ho Volunteer Corps contributed 1,030 days to support road safety, environmental protection and other community programs.”

Tim Ju, president, FLH, also expressed his appreciation to all employees for their contributions to a successful 2015. His special thanks went to the manufacturing team who has achieved great improvement on quality without big spending on facility upgrade.

“With all employees’ great support and hard work, we believe we could go further to achieve a better 2016,” said Ju.

The spring party began with several recognitions. First, Dave awarded the Typhoon Loss Prevention team for winning the 2015 global Diversity and Inclusion award – Leading the Way. Chairman Lock Hsu and President Ju then awarded 28 model employees for their achievements over last year. President Ju then recognized the Owner Relations Operations team of the Ford Customer Service Division for their patience and perseverance in connecting with Ford vehicle owners.

After the award ceremony, Chinese cuisine and beverages were served while employees delivered costumed musical and dance performances.

“This is an excellent example of great team work,” said Nagarajan Irulandy, HR Director, FLH. “Kudos to the team for making this event a memorable one for all employees!”

“It’s a great party; I feel I’m really a happy employee at Ford,” said Kevin Chen, Process Lead Engineer, VOME, Manufacturing.

“It’s a great idea to combine the spring party and model employee award ceremony,” said Y. A. Wang, clerk, Material Planning Logistics, Manufacturing, and a model employee winner in 2016 and 2004. “I can see the difference from 12 years ago. There is the AP president’s thank you letter and a well-designed brochure in the model employee package. It was very sweet and considerate!”

“Great party, Great company, Great family,” concluded Ben Tsai, Vehicle Personalization Engineer, PD, Ford Asia Pacific.
