OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2016. NVIDIA’s booth was rocking at last week’s Embedded World 2016, in Nuremberg, Germany, as a raft of companies showed what our Jetson TX1 supercomputing module can do.

There were six particular standouts using Jetson:

  • Awabot, from France, showed Emox, a companion robot capable of face and gesture recognition, voice interaction and face tracking. Emox, an autonomous telepresence solution, can be controlled using an Android app.
  • Herta Security, from Spain, demonstrated its latest facial recognition systems. Using deep learning, the systems can quickly identify subjects in a crowd with uncanny accuracy.
  • Percepto and Stereolabs, from Israel and the U.S., respectively, both showed off the immense potential of advanced computer vision applied to autonomous flying and 3D mapping.
  • Connect Tech Industries, from Canada, launched its credit card-sized Astro Carrier board. The off-the-shelf hardware makes it easy for anyone to deploy Jetson TX1.
  • Auvidea, from Germany, also presented its latest boards, the J100 single TX1 carrier lite and J200 dual TX1 carrier. Both pack a wide range of integration features into small form factors for unbeatable deployment flexibility.

Visitors to our Embedded World booth could take in multiple sessions each day on deep learning, neural networks and computer vision. A large selection of partner carrier boards and modules were also on display, showing off the integration capacities of the Jetson module. Among them:
