Nissan: Nissan announces senior management appointments and changes in Japan
OREANDA-NEWS. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today announced senior management appointments and changes, effective April 1, 2016. The changes cover the positions of executive vice president (EVP), senior vice president (SVP), corporate vice president (CVP), and vice president (VP).
"Fiscal year 2016 will be crucial for Nissan as we enter the last year of our Nissan Power 88 business plan. We have further enhanced our management team to ensure we have the long-term focus and discipline needed to maintain a robust business as we pave the way towards a sustainable future," said Carlos Ghosn, Nissan President and CEO.
The new organization will feature a reinforced Total Customer Satisfaction Division that will oversee customer experience across the entire business, stretching from R&D and manufacturing down to sales, and extending all the way to the service received in the showroom.
Changes announced today:
Executive Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, Corporate Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents
Daniele Schillaci, EVP of Global Marketing and Sales, will add responsibilities for EV and battery business, and report directly to the CEO.
Kimiyasu Nakamura, currently EVP, Total Customer Satisfaction, will assume the additional primary role of Management Committee chairman of Japan, Asia and Oceania.
Asako Hoshino, currently SVP of Japan Marketing and Sales, will assume the responsibility as the head of Operations Committee for Japan.
Noboru Tateishi, currently CVP, Infiniti Product Development is promoted to SVP, Total Customer Satisfaction.
Yoshikazu Nakai, currently VP, Total Customer Satisfaction for production, field quality, and quality audit, is promoted to CVP.
Atsuhiko Hayakawa, currently VP and Alliance global director of Powertrain Production Engineering, is promoted to CVP.
Haruhiko Yoshimura, currently VP and Alliance Global VP of Vehicle Production Engineering, is promoted to CVP.
Kinichi Tanuma, currently chief vehicle engineer of Infiniti, is promoted to CVP, R&D to assume the responsibilities of Infiniti Product Development.
Alfonso Albaisa, currently executive design director of Infiniti, is promoted to CVP and adds to his responsibilities strategic and business management of global design center.
Shunichi Toyomasu, CVP, R&D of Electrical Engineering & System Engineering, will become a fellow for Vehicle Integration Technology of electronics and mechatronics.
Takashi Yoshizawa, currently GM, is promoted to VP of R&D Autonomous Driving & Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, and Chassis Engineering.
Catherine Perez, currently program director, is promoted to VP, Program Directors.
Yutaka Sanada, currently VP, Program Directors, is appointed to regional SVP and head of Operations Committee for Asia & Oceania.
Shingo Yamamoto, currently Calsonic Kansei Corporation, EVP and CIO, is newly appointed as regional SVP, Administration and Finance, for Management Committee Japan, Asia, and Oceania.
Corporate Officers Leaving Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.:
Takao Katagiri, EVP, chairman of Management Committee Japan, Asia, and Oceania, will transfer to Nissan Motorsports International Co., Ltd. and Autech Japan, Inc.
Toru Hasegawa, CVP, Asia and Oceania, will transfer to Yokohama Marinos Ltd.
Atsushi Hirose, CVP, Manufacturing, will retire from the company.
