German Federal President Joachim Gauck and the Belgian royal couple visit the Audi plant in Brussels
At the very beginning of the visit, the distinguished guests signed the visitor’s book at AUDI AG and took a close look at the Audi e-tron quattro concept car. The battery-electric technology study, which Audi presented at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in September 2015, is fully suitable for everyday driving thanks to a range of more than 500 kilometers. The Audi e-tron quattro concept offers a real glimpse of the first volume-production electric car of the brand with the four rings, which will go into production at the Audi Brussels site in 2018.
Around 2,500 employees from a total of 27 different nations currently work at Audi Brussels. The Brussels plant was awarded certification by the prestigious “Top Employers Institute” at the beginning of the year for its diverse offerings in the area of Human Resources. Audi is the trailblazer of the “dual training” system in Belgium. Since 2012, Audi Brussels has worked in close cooperation with two partner schools from both the French-speaking and Flemish parts of the country in order to help young people get off to a good start in their careers.
Audi produces the Audi A1 family exclusively in Brussels.
