OREANDA-NEWS. Russian LCV market, which in the last year fell to fifth place in Europe, according to the results in January of 2016, continued to lose ground in the European championship.

According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), the sales of light commercial vehicles in Europe grew by 10.3% to 134,411 units in January of 2016. The leader among the European countries by sales of LCV up to 3.5 tons is France, where this segment grew by 12.3% to 27,962 units. Second place is kept by the UK with 21,102 sold units (-1.3%), and third place is occupied by Germany, whose LCV market grew by 11.8% to 16,969 units. In the fourth place there was Italy - its result was 11,800 light commercial vehicles (+ 28.8%). The top-five leaders is closed this time by Spain, where it was sold 10,570 vehicles (+ 17.1%). During the considering LCV European market we take into account Russia and our country ranked only the ninth place, behind the Netherlands, Belgium and Ireland. According to the agency "AUTOSTAT", the sales of light commercial vehicles in Russia in January were 4,500 units (-34.5%). The Russian market of LCV - is the only one among the leading countries in Europe, where it is recorded a sales drop.
