CenturyLink Development Center opens in St. Louis
OREANDA-NEWS. CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced the opening of the CenturyLink Development Center in St. Louis. Development teams at the Center focus on automating and developing managed services for business customers seeking flexible, managed environments for important applications.
The St. Louis facility becomes the company's third development center, joining its Seattle-area Cloud Development Center, which opened in October 2014, and its Monroe, La.-based Technology Center of Excellence, which opened in March 2015.
"The new CenturyLink Development Center greatly enhances CenturyLink's focus on developing innovative managed services and delivering an outstanding experience for our customers," said Aamir Hussain, chief technology officer at CenturyLink. "The Center offers an agile and collaborative environment for our developers and software engineers and superb spaces for client and industry discussions, and also is a key part of our strategy to build cloud-based managed services that drive increased value for businesses."
This Center enhances CenturyLink's significant development presence in the St. Louis area.
More than 230 employees will ultimately work at the 46,000-square-foot facility, which features an innovative design centered on collaborative development. Each of the 19 team workspaces includes mobile and adjustable-height tables, a sofa and lounge chairs, a smartboard and more. Other collaboration spaces in the Center include an executive briefing room, large areas for hosting developer and start-up events and a dining area.
