OREANDA-NEWS. St. Petersburg Nissan plant could start the export to Latin America, also to Mexico and Cuba. According to "Fontanka.ru" with reference to its sources, it could be a model Qashqai and X-Trail. The manufacturer is also considering the Middle East - United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iran in particular.

Dmitry Mikhailov, Head of the enterprise, confirmed the intention to begin deliveries to foreign countries, but he declined to announce specific plans. According to him, now the company is discussing with officials of costs compensation associated with exports. "We are talking about support for the first two years, we need an entrance ticket," - he stressed. 

As previously "AUTOSTAT" reported, in December of the last year, Nissan started deliveries of Russian-made cars to Kazakhstan: X-Trail, Pathfinder and the Qashqai, produced in St. Petersburg, Almera, which is assembled at AvtoVAZ facilities in Tolyatti and Sentra from Izhevsk .

In early 2016 the Russian government announced that it will compensate the exporters the part of costs for the logistics from the federal budget. Similar support measures at regional level are considered by St. Petersburg government. Appropriate adjustments to the budget can be made already in May, the head of the Committee on Industrial Policy and Innovation Maksim Meyksin reported previously.
