OREANDA-NEWS. Franklin Templeton Investments today announced two new hires for its global exchange traded funds (ETFs) team. David Mann has joined as senior vice president, head of global ETFs capital markets, and will serve as the primary ETF liaison with all liquidity providers, including authorized participants, market makers and broker dealers, for both primary and secondary market ETF activities. Dina Ting, has joined as vice president, senior portfolio manager for global ETFs.

As we continue to expand our investment capabilities and vehicles in the active and rules-based ETF marketplace, David and Dina’s extensive ETF relationships and knowledge across global capital markets will prove to be quite valuable,” said Patrick O’Connor, head of global ETFs. Both Mann and Ting are based in San Mateo, California, and will report to O’Connor.

Mann has more than 12 years of investment experience and was previously at BlackRock, where he most recently served as director, head of Client Execution and Services, US Capital Markets. Prior to that role, he was based in Hong Kong and managed both broker dealer and institutional client relationships across the Asia Pacific region.

Ting has more than 19 years of investment experience. She was most recently at BlackRock, where she led the institutional emerging markets team that managed over 70 global equity portfolios for clients worldwide. Her previous portfolio management responsibilities at BlackRock include several of iShares ETFs covering strategic beta, real estate sectors and emerging market strategies.

As part of Franklin Templeton’s commitment to expanding its investment capabilities to offer investors access to new global investment opportunities, the firm is looking to further expand the global ETF team, including hiring ETFs specialists in the coming months.
