Campbell Board Elects Keith R. McLoughlin as Director
OREANDA-NEWS. Campbell Soup Company (NYSE:CPB) today announced that the company’s Board of Directors has elected Keith R. McLoughlin as a member of the Board, effective Feb. 24, 2016.
McLoughlin, 59, recently retired as President and Chief Executive Officer of AB Electrolux, a multinational appliance company producing and selling more than 50 million products a year in more than 150 countries. Under McLoughlin’s leadership, Electrolux increased investments in consumer-led innovation, focusing on profitable growth areas and leveraging the scale of the company through global integration. McLoughlin continues to support Electrolux in the North American market on a consultancy basis.
McLoughlin joined AB Electrolux in 2003 as head of Major Appliances North America and Executive Vice President of AB Electrolux. Between 2004 and 2007, he also served as head of Major Appliances Latin America. From 2009 until 2011, McLoughlin served as Chief Operations Officer and Executive Vice President, AB Electrolux. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of AB Electrolux in 2011, a position he held until his retirement in January, 2016.
Before joining AB Electrolux, McLoughlin spent 22 years in senior leadership roles at E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, leading several consumer brand businesses including DuPont Corian®, DuPont Stainmaster® carpet and DuPont Tyvek®. “We are pleased to welcome Keith to Campbell’s Board of Directors as we continue to take strategic actions to position our company for profitable growth,” said Les Vinney, Chairman of the Board. “Keith’s deep experience in the consumer durable goods industry and his track record of reshaping businesses to respond to consumer needs will be invaluable to the Board and shareholders.”
McLoughlin graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in engineering. McLoughlin is a member of the Board of Directors at Briggs & Stratton Corporation.
With McLoughlin’s election, Campbell’s Board of Directors will consist of 13 members. Denise M. Morrison, President and Chief Executive Officer, is the only member of management who sits on the Board.
