Russia's share in the global car market fell from 2.9% to 1.8%

OREANDA-NEWS. In 2015, it was sold 89.4 million new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles in the world, which is more by 2.3% than the last year. In our country 1.6 million of these cars were sold - less by 36% than a year ago. Thus, analysts of the agency "AUTOSTAT" estimate, for the year the share of Russia in the global car market fell from 2.9% to 1.8%.

We should note also that in the ranking of the world's car markets Russia dropped immediately from 8 th to 12 th place. Our country has become only the fifth in the European "championship", even though it was on the third place in 2014, and even earlier, since 2011 it took the second place.

Our market is the most important for the French Renault brand, the share of Russian sales of which was 5.7%. Also, the share over 5% is belonged to Korean KIA and Czech Skoda.
