Renault starts the export of Russian-made cars to Vietnam
OREANDA-NEWS. Renault Russia company starts to export vehicles to Vietnam market. This is the Renault Duster, assembled at the Moscow plant, as well as Renault Logan and Sandero Stepway, which are produced on the assembly line of AvtoVAZ in Togliatti.
"The company Renault has pioneered a new stage of Russian-Vietnamese relations, based on mutual benefit. Besides, it is the first exports to the country of passenger cars from Russia", - said General Director of Renault Russia, Andrei Pankov.
Since the beginning of February of this year it was started the production of the first lot of finished vehicles to Vietnamese customers. As it was noted, this event should become a new era of Russian industrial project Renault-Nissan-AvtoVAZ alliance, aimed in future at the further integration of Russia into the global car market.
"In light of the announced by the Government strategy of the automotive industry development to ensure the import substitution and increase the competitiveness of Russian products, the exports is getting the increasing importance”, - said Andrei Pankov. – “We are proud that our cars, made in Russia with a high degree of localization, which meet international quality standards, are delivered to the non-CIS market for the first time."
In 2015, Renault has delivered to Kazakhstan and Belarus 16,306 cars, produced in Russia, which is more by 28% compared to the previous year. As the agency AUTOSTAT" was informed by the Renault’s press service, the share of both countries in deliveries is roughly equal. Currently, the company «Renault Russia" exported models Logan, Sandero and Duster of Russian production.
